Ricky Bobby was found outside on 9/27/19 by his mother’s side at 6:45pm on a cool fall day. He was wrapped in a blanket and brought into the barn to be towel dried and warmed with a heating pad & heat lamps. Security cameras recorded his delivery at 6:35pm (rather late for an alpaca birth) and showed all of maternal females watching over his birth. Mom, Paloma, was standing by his side and it was clear her motherly instincts had kicked in. She was humming and making clicking sounds to him and nibbling at him in a loving and caring way. Approximately 1 hour later our sweet little angel took his first few wobbly steps. The next hour we saw this little furball well adjusted and nursing from his mom.
Our little Cria appears to be very loving and sweet and he resembles his daddy Jakarri with his soft and beautiful ringlets of brown fleece. He is soft as silk and cute as a button. His personality is starting to emerge and his name is certainly befitting of his personality. Fast, Fun & Furious!!
