T.J. Baby Bayne arrived on our farm on 6/24/2020. A beautiful warm sunny day. Mom Tallulah delivered him without incident and she was by his side, humming to him in soft sweet clicking tones as we arrived to support his delivery and new beginning.
Bayne and mom were moved into the barn so he could be towel dried and blanketed for warmth until his body temp could be regulated. Mom and baby were given quiet and alone time to bond. Bayne weighed in at 16 lbs. and was up on his wobbly little feet within the hour. Security cameras recorded his birth at 3:05pm and it showed all of maternal females in the herd watching over his birth.
Our little Cria is loving and sweet and he resembles his daddy Jakarri with his soft and beautiful crimped of fiery brown fleece. His personality is starting to emerge and we expect he will be a great little addition to our farm family of alpacas.
T.J. Bayne’s name was carefully chosen and was announced to the public on June 26th 2020. The letters T.J. reflect his mother Tallulah’s first initial and his dad Jakarri’s first initial in honor of his parents and their pedigree. We chose the name Bayne from Scottish descent which means “Life”. We pray he will have a long and glorious life and make his own beautiful cria’s, someday. He has brought much love and happiness into our hearts.
